Celebrating 13 Years of Connect the Dots Pediatric Therapy!

Child in pediatric speech therapy at Connect the Dots Thirteen years ago, Connect the Dots opened its doors with a mission to help children reach their highest potential. What started as a vision to provide meaningful pediatric therapy in our community has grown into something much bigger: a place shaped by the children and families we serve, the teammates who have shared their knowledge and passion, and the many students and volunteers who have joined us along the way.

13 Years of Helping Children Grow

When we look back through photos from the last 13 years, we see so many of the moments that make Connect the Dots what it is. We see children playing, learning, growing, and celebrating milestones that once felt far away. We see therapy graduations, proud families, creative ideas brought to life, and the joy that comes from watching a child discover something new about themselves.

We also see the people who have made those moments possible.

We see therapists who have dedicated themselves to continuing education, collaboration, and finding new ways to support each child who walks through our doors. We see our administrative team working behind the scenes to support families through the many details of accessing therapy, from scheduling and communication to helping things run smoothly each day. We see fieldwork students and volunteers who have shared their time, curiosity, and compassion with our team while learning what it means to support children and families.

And we see the many teammates, past and present, who have contributed to the culture of Connect the Dots. Some have been part of our story for many years, and others have joined us for a season, but every person has brought something valuable to our team and helped shape the place we are today.

Where Hard Work Meets Joy

One of our favorite things about Connect the Dots is that there is always room for both hard work and joy. Our days are filled with thoughtful therapy planning, professional growth, collaboration, and the responsibility of helping children work toward meaningful goals. But they are also filled with laughter, friendships, celebrations, dress-up days, and the kind of moments that remind us how special it is to do this work alongside people who care so deeply.

We know the progress families see during therapy is supported by so much that happens outside of the therapy room too. It comes from parents and caregivers who practice skills at home, make time for appointments, celebrate smallSLP Sarah Young practicing speech sounds with little toy hamster victories, and continue showing up for their children every step of the way. We are incredibly grateful to be invited into those journeys, and there is nothing that makes us happier than seeing children gain confidence, reach milestones, and thrive.

As we celebrate 13 years, we also want to recognize Lee and Stephanie Wagers, who started Connect the Dots with a vision for creating a place where children and families could receive the support they needed in a welcoming, encouraging environment. Their vision has grown into a community of people all working toward the same goal: helping children reach their highest potential.

CTD gradute! To every child, family, teammate, student, volunteer, and community partner who has been part of Connect the Dots, thank you. Thank you for trusting us, growing with us, and being part of the story that continues to unfold.

After 13 years, we are still doing what we set out to do from the beginning: helping children reach their highest potential. We know that the work we do is only possible because of the people who show up every day with compassion, creativity, and a shared purpose. Those connections are what have shaped Connect the Dots, and they are what will continue to carry us forward. Happy Birthday, CTD!
