Sensory Processing
Sensory Processing Disorder
We use our senses to gather information around us, which tells our body how to respond. Our senses bring in information including: sight, sound, touch, taste and smell.
Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) affects the way our brain processes sensory information. SPD can look different for each person, and may include challenges with one or many senses.
Our team of Occupational Therapists support children and their families by helping to recognize how a child is processing sensory input and offer tools to navigate their day-to-day activities.
