Sarah Young
Speech Language Pathologist - Conditional
Sarah is originally from Mississippi and has very happily made Oregon her home. She earned her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Oregon. She is passionate about all things speech and communication, and loves incorporating family cultures and practices into her service. She emphasizes neuro-diversity affirming and play-based activities in her care.
Before coming to Oregon, Sarah worked abroad for four years teaching English as a second language. During this time, she discovered her love of working with children in a play-based, child led manner, and developed a passion for working with those learning multiple languages. She enjoys helping children learn their strengths and build their confidence to tackle all manners of challenges. Sarah most enjoys developing games and activities that fit a child's passions and interests.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys reading fantasy books, doing embroidery, and playing table top games. Sarah is also a lover of cats and will endlessly admire any cat pictures shown to her.
